Koen Slobbe | Principal and Founder
Koen founded Cableroad in 2014, recognizing the opportunity in providing personal, tailored service in the promising niche of VAT representation. He earned his law degree from Leiden University and gained in-depth tax, corporate tax law and leadership experience at PepsiCo, Diageo, GE Capital, Kuwait Petroleum International, Credit Access Asia and Pat Kruger. Koen has lived and worked in the Netherlands, the UK and Hong Kong.
Theo Ostermann | Partner Corporate & Tax
Theo is a highly experienced consultant with a degree in tax and civil law from Leiden University. He has served as a partner at a range of law firms , and most recently at Grant Thornton Accountants & Advisors, where he was also a board member.
Hester Koch | Partner Asia-Pacific (based in Brisbane, Australia)
Hester holds an LLM from the University of Amsterdam and gained in-depth corporate legal, structuring and leadership experience at Diageo, Omron, Equity Trust, Nutreco and Kiwa. She brings 20 years of global experience as a trusted advisor to businesses on broad governance, structuring as well as legal/risk/compliance advisory. Having lived and worked in Europe, Asia and now based in Brisbane, Australia, she leverages global experience and partnerships for the development of Cableroad in the Asia-Pacific region.
John de Paauw | Key Account Manager
John is responsible for day-to-day client support. Whatever your question, John is the troubleshooter who ensures that it’s answered quickly and that problems are resolved. John holds a degree from Tilburg University and previously had a long career at Rotterdam City Council, dealing with client issues for the Waste Management and Port divisions.
Marjolein Imhof | Administration Manager
Marjolein is responsible for our client support operations and assists with our VAT, ICP and statistical filings with the Dutch tax authorities. Marjolein holds a Bachelor’s degree (Amsterdam University of Applied Science) and gained experience dealing with customer support issues in a number of organisations before joining Cableroad.
Robert Blanken | Director Business Development
Robert began his career at a tier-1 bank, specializing in cross-border payments and documentary credits, giving him an unparalleled understanding of international trade finance. He then leveraged this financial acumen in a C-level consultancy role, where he advised businesses on streamlining their trade settlement environments. For the past several years, Robert has run his own successful company, managing a full suite of global logistics services including ocean- and airfreight, Break-Bulk, warehousing, customs clearance, and full freight forwarding. Bringing over 25 years of international trade and logistics expertise, he offers a wealth of knowledge to optimise Cableroad customers’ global supply chains. He has a proven history of enhancing operational efficiency and financial security for complex, cross-border businesses.
